Business Cooperation between Kosova and Macedonia

At the "Stone Bridge" hotel in Skopje-Macedonia, the representatives of the Ministry of Trade and Industry, leaded by the Deputy Minister Mr. Januz Kastrati and representatives of Kosovar business community were meet with Macedonian Institutional Representatives and business community in order to see business cooperation opportunities between two countries.



The subject of this meting was exploring the opportunities for intensive cooperation between business companies of two countries, trade exchange, and cooperation in business area. 

In his speech, Deputy Minister Mr. Januz Kastrati said "The Kosovo Government, respectively the Ministry of Trade and Industry is working in two directions: at the political level we have set excellent relations, considering concluded agreements on reciprocal cooperation, the agreement on boarder demarcation, also other inter-ministerial agreements and cooperation agreement between two countries, and as peak pint is the establishment of diplomatic relationship through the establishment of the Macedonian Embassy in Pristina. Second important segment is strengthening of the business relations between two countries, similar as in political area, and what it means intensification and extension of cooperation parallel in two directions. It is our assessments that despite that we are close in terms of good neighborhood, still exist the space for similar analyses and meetings on situation assessment and its improvement, in order to offer new initiatives and see the offers and present new products” said Mr. Kastrati.

The meeting has saluted the Minister of Economy of Macedonia, Mr. Fatmir Besimi, who has given full support to those initiatives, as a real opportunity for deepen cooperation and increasing movements of goods between two countries.
