The Role of the Department

The Department of General Administration (DGA) has a key role in organizing and implementing of activities, in searching of needs, and every day functioning of the Ministry of Trade and Industry. The support and services carried out by DGA are connected with the budget formulation and implementation of budgetary proposals, expenditures’ supervision, counseling and provision with administrative assistance to all constituent departments of the MTI. It also has a key role in the preparation of legislation, supplying with necessary staff for the Ministry, drafting of administrative dispositions for the MTI staff. DGA also makes possible the implementation and support of MTI needs such as for goods and services, logistic support for the MTI employees, supplying with office materials, inventory stock-taking, keeping evidence, translation and lecturing of materials, etc.

DGA is trying to develop and implement these activities with an efficient administration in order to advance MTI priorities and objectives.

 

The department is organized into four divisions:

  1. Division for Juristic Issues
  2. Logistics Division  
  3.  Division of Administration and Staff
  4. Division of Finance and Budget

Main activities of DGA and its director

The Department of General Administration and the director exercise, follow, implement, suggest, plan and analyze the work and tasks foreseen by job descriptions and obligations of DGA as follows:

  • MTI administration offers services in the field of acting and planning in accordance with legal dispositions and other rules in power;
  • Administration creates opportunities and conditions which enable fulfilling of works foreseen by jobs and tasks description;
  • Pays a special attention and is committed to achieving of Government objectives in order to create an efficient and modern administration, identical with administrations of EC countries;
  • General Administration makes the work plan of the department, assists and instructs other departments in compiling work plans, harmonizes and finalizes them with the work plan of MT;
  • Prepares long term plans and administers the budget of MTI;
  • The department has as an objective, the enlarging of managing abilities, aiming to set up a professional administration and at service of citizens;
  • Developing of human resources and their constant professional improvement through trainings and seminars qualifications and respective school institutions;
