Industry Department

Department of Industry consists of:

1. Division of the Industrial Production Development  
2. Division of Technical Standards and Industrial Ownership
3. Division of Metrology and Inspection

This department performs the following administrative and professional works:

• proposes development and restructuring direction of Kosovo Industry;
• proposes the direction of development and implementation of technical and technologic standards, of industrial ownership system and legal metrology in Kosovo;
• proposes measures for a stable industrial development and the elimination or decreasing of negative influence of industrial departments for environment protection;
• proposes measures for harmonizing, accepting and adaptation of technical standards and technical rules from relevant institutions in the field of industry;
• proposes concrete measures to improve the metrology policy and inspection of industrial products and equipment;
• participates in compiling the legal and sub legal dispositions in the field of industry
• directly implements, ensures and supervises the implementation of law and other rules which concern the development of industrial production in Kosovo;
• participates in law compilation and supervises the implementation of laws and other sub legal acts, dealing with standardization, industrial ownership, metrology and products inspection.
• supervises tasks fulfillment in the field of metrology and industrial products and equipment inspection;
• defines and observes the elements of industrial development policies and industry restructuring in Kosovo;
• observes the implementation of economic policy and its influence on the situation and industry development;
• proposes measures for compilation of effective development programs in accordance with industrial development strategy;
• observes the activity and the development of industrial sectors, compiles analyses and observes implementation of industrial development plans;
• observes work, maintains contacts and cooperates with international organizations, specialized agencies and other organizations, with the aim of exchanging experiences concerning industrial development and other activities from its field of activity;
• cooperates with other bodies of state administration as well as with juristic persons with public authorizations in the country and outside of it, to carry out the works and tasks from its field of activity;
• cooperates with other state administration bodies and authorized institutions for development of knowledge, scientific and researching work of technologies;
• performs administrative tasks and administrative supervision from its field of activity. It performs administrative and professional work aiming to define industrial development strategy and industrial policies;
• proposes measures and instruments that enable technical and technology transfers and application of innovations;
• acts jointly in preparing Kosovo delegations for international cooperation and industrial cooperation;
• performs other works from its field of activity.
